forex omvandlingstabell

British Adventurer Ripley Davenport will plunge deep inside the most sparsely populated independent country in the world to do what no one else has ever done – to attempt the longest recorded solo and *unssisted walk - across the vast landmass of Mongolia from east to west, starting the 15th April 2010.

Enduring sub-zero temperatures, icy blizzards, sand storms, isolation and maybe a touch of frostbite, Grey wolves will look on and shadow Ripley as he walks along the frozen landscape.

The Expedition will involve walking 1700 miles / 2750 km’s across the Eastern Mongolian Steppe, Gobi Desert and the Altai Mountain Range, while hauling provisions and equipment weighing in excess of 200kg in a wheeled trailer, specifically designed for the journey, in 90 days or less.

This effort to push the frontiers of human capabilities, challenge ecological values and inspire youth to reach beyond their perceived limits and engage their dreams.
M2010X will test the limitations of mental and physical human endurance.

The Mongolia 2010 Expedition objectives are:

1. To raise awareness about human and environmental sustainability and act with strong consideration for the environmental; social and interpersonal impact of one's actions.

2. To inspire, educate and create optimism as well as encourage youth to engage their dreams and get active.

3. Produce a documentary film, book and educational curriculum that focuses on teamwork and the spirit of adventure.

4. Develop a post expedition multi-media lecture series for education in schools and organizations.

5. To raise funds and awareness for four charities: edurelief, ShelterBox, Hope & Homes for Children and UNICEF.

*Unassisted - No assistance in any form for the entire expedition (no air resupply, machine, animal or supply depots - all food & fuel is pulled on the trailer.)
