Gandan Monastery is the biggest and most visited monastery is the center of Buddhism in Mongolia. Building was built in 1838 by the 4th Bogd Gegeen but, like most monateries in Mongolia, the purges fell heavily on Gandan. The monastery remained a show monastery until 1990 and now it is the most active one in Mongolia. Main attraction is 26 m high and gold gilded Migjid Janraisig Buddha and hundreds of images of Ayush Buddha. It is an excellent place to experience Mongolian Buddhist culture. National History Museum. Here you will see artifacts from Mongolia and Central Asia from the Stone Age to the present. Get some introduction to Stone-Bronze ages Mongolia. Ancient Mongolian States ethnic groups of Mongolia and 13th century Mongolia and Communist and Democratic time Mongolia and Mongolian traditional culture. International Intellectual Museum displays over 11000 intellectual items from 130 countries around the world and over 5000 of them are puzzles. All the items are classified into 15 subcategories in order to make visitors understand a scientific nature of exhibits. Most of the displays of the museum represent various branches of sciences in simplified form by toys and puzzles. That fact that visitors are allowed to touch and challenge themselves by putting puzzles together. Show traditional Folklore Concert. It is a witness the wonder of Mongolian throat singing, melodious dancing, pliant contortionism and melodious musical instruments.
