This 12 day trip is an excellent opportunity to get to know some of the most stunning parts of Mongolia. You will travel in a in 4WD vehicle through the Central and Southern parts of Mongolia, combining visits through most interesting museums, wonderful National Parks, medieval temples, freshwater lake & rivers, vast steppes, majestic mountains and the famous Gobi sand dunes combined with green oasis. Overnight accommodation will be in ger camps throughout the countryside and these will allow you to relax in comfort in the evenings while experiencing fun and excitement during the day.  Our past clients enjoyed every minute of the tour – we think you will too. 

Brief itinerary

Day 1. Arrive in Ulaanbaatar. Meet at the airport. Take a city tour. (L+D)

Day 2. Fly to Dalanzadgad. Natural Museum of Gobi Gurvan Saikhan National Park. (B+L+D)

Day 3. Drive to Khongor Sand Dunes. Visit to the Singing Dunes. (B+L+D)       

Day 4. Visit the nomadic family & camel ride trial by the Khongor Sand Dunes. (B+L+D)

Day 5. Drive to Bayanzag. Visit small Paleontology museum of Bayanzag. (B+L+D)       

Day 6. Drive to Ongi temple ruins. Visit to a rebuilt main temple. (B+L+D)       

Day 7. Drive to Karakorum and Erdenezuu monastery. (B+L+D)

Day 8. Drive to Ugii Lake. Visit the Khushuu Taidam – Turkic monuments. (B+L+D)

Day 9. Drive to Hustai National park. Visit a small Takhi, the wild horse’s museum. (B+L+D)

Day 10. Drive to Terelj National Park. Turtle rock formation & meditation temple. (B+L+D)

Day 11. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Take a city tour. (B+L+D)
